A quarrelsome wife is like a constant dripping on a rainy day; restraining her is like restraining the wind or grasping oil with the hand.
As a ring of gold in a swine’s snout,
So is a lovely woman who lacks discretion.
There is something to be learned from a rainstorm.
When meeting with a sudden shower, you try not to get wet and run quickly along the road. But doing such things as passing under the eaves of houses, you still get wet.
When you are resolved from the beginning, you will not be perplexed, though you still get the same soaking. This understanding extends to everything.
For a warrior there is nothing other than thinking of his master. If one creates this resolution within himself, he will always be mindful of the master’s person and will not depart from him even for a moment.
Moreover, a woman should consider her husband first, just as he considers his master first.
